Givelify: envelope editing

For Givelify, 2021 – 22

Envelopes are the system Givelify uses to allow our organizations to curate where their donations go. Each envelope is inherently customizable, from their names to their durations, monetary goals, and whether or not they’re shown to users.

This particular flow demanded a handful of different solutions in order to handle the potential outcomes of editing.

A screen showing all envelopes being used by an organization

This screen allows organizations to see every envelope they’re using to accept and organization donations within Givelify. Toggling the “Show to donors” option creates a situation where we need organizations to confirm or deny their choice.

These confirmation modals exist to ensure that users understand the effects of switching off envelope appearance and to give them customization options if they choose to show a previously-hidden envelope.

Specific attention was given to reducing the use of sight-related metaphors, in order to better serve screen reader users.
